Newport Yacht Club, Saturday, 5 August 2006, 10:05 AM:

Today was a glorious day of blue sky and sunshine. We had a nice north thermal all day long. It could only have been better if the wind had continued to build, but it did not. Boat traffic proved a challenge more than once.

We got two races off in the morning before breaking for a brief lunch, and then it was back to the water. The third race started at 1:30, and we got another three races in before it was time to call it an afternoon.

Great starts and close races!

We had two more races in a beautiful 8-10 mph southerly on Sunday, bringing the total to seven and allowing one throw-out . Jno and Karen Disch won the regatta.

Ties When there is a series tie between two or more boats, each boat's race score shall be listed in order of best to worst, and at the first point(s) where there is a difference the tie shall be broken in favor of the boat(s) with the best score(s). No excluded scores shall be used.
If a tie still remains between two or more boats, they shall be ranked in order of their scores in the last race. Any remaining ties shall be broken by using the tied boats' score in the next to last race and so on until all ties are broken. These scores shall be used even if some of them are excluded scores.
